About
I help life sciences researchers write grants that get funded and manuscripts that get published.
Hi, I'm Adina Jensen — founder of Jensen Science Communications.
I have a PhD in cancer biology from the University of Copenhagen, where I spent four years in Janine Erler's lab studying the extracellular matrix, tumour microenvironment, and cancer metastasis. I then moved to Vienna for a postdoc at MedUni Vienna in the Szakacs lab. I have six publications and have contributed to more than eight grant applications across a range of funders including MSCA, ERC, FWF, DFF, Novo Nordisk Foundation, and the Danish Cancer Society.
I set up Jensen Science Communications because I know how hard it is to translate complex science into a compelling case for funding. Grant writing is not something most researchers enjoy — but it is something I am good at. I understand the strategy behind a strong application, and through this work I get to stay close to the science I care about and contribute to research that matters.
I work with principal investigators and group leaders across Europe on:
Grant applications — ERC, FWF, Horizon Europe, MSCA, DFF, Novo Nordisk Foundation, Danish Cancer Society, and other national and international funders
Manuscript writing and editing — from first draft to submission-ready
I am based in Vienna and work remotely with research groups across Austria, Germany, Denmark, and the wider European research community.
